Nazeer Ahmed Khan Warsi and Naseer Ahmed Khan Warsi, born in Hyderabad, are eminent exponents of the Qawwal Bachchey tradition of the Delhi Gharana. They received their early and rigorous training in music under the guidance of their father and grandfather, inheriting a rich legacy of classical and Sufi musical excellence.

Their grandfather, Padma Shri & Padma Bhushan Awarded Ustad Aziz Ahmed Khan Warsi, was a world-renowned qawwal celebrated for his deeply classical-based qawwali renditions. Their father, National awardee Ustad Zaheer Ahmed Khan Warsi, was a distinguished qawwal and classical singer, honored with national recognition for his contributions to music.

Belonging to a revered musical lineage, the brothers trace their heritage to the disciples of Hazrat Ameer Khusro (RH) and Hazrat Nizamuddin Auliya (RH), pillars of the Sufi tradition in India. Their ancestor, Allama-e-Mousiqui Mohammed Siddiq Khan Sahib, served as a royal classical singer in the court of Mughal and also served as a royal classical singer in the court of the Nizam of Hyderabad. Mohammed Siddiq Khan Sahib was a nephew of Miyan Tanras Khan Sahib, a celebrated classical vocalist in the Mughal court.

Deeply rooted in the gayaki of the Delhi Gharana, Nazeer and Naseer Ahmed Khan Warsi have developed a distinctive style marked by melodic richness and intricate improvisation. They are particularly acclaimed for their traditional Sufiana qawwali, while also excelling in genres such as ghazal, thumri, bhajan, and classical bandish.

In recognition of their significant contribution to qawwali, Nazeer Ahmed Khan Warsi and Naseer Ahmed Khan Warsi were jointly honored with the prestigious Sangeet Natak Akademi Award.
